Community cash
Several area businesses have come together to sponsor the CommUNITY Cash program that will fund certificates to be used at Marion businesses. The Marion Chamber of Commerce is accepting contributions and converting those contributions to $25 certificates that will be valid at Marion retailers, restaurants, and service providers who have been closed or have had limited operations due to COVID-19. The CommUNITY Cash program is

designed to infuse dollars to our most affected businesses once their operations resume, and during a short time period. Recipients of the certificates are encouraged to match the value when spending, creating additional support for the business.
How It Works
CommUNITY Cash will be distributed by the institutions who are sponsoring the program and will be given out in $25 increments. The certificates are redeemable for goods and services at participating Marion businesses.
Customer redemption dates will be June 1 - June 30, 2020. Participating businesses will have from July 1 - July 31, 2020 to submit CommUNITY Cash to the Marion Chamber for reimbursement.
Any money remaining in the fund after August 1, 2020 will be donated to local non-profits, the Marion Food Pantry and Marion Cares.
Please Note: certificates should be treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. CommUNITY Cash needs to be spent in its entirety at one business. Change will not be made, and balances cannot remain on certificates. Not redeemable for cash.

Accepting CommUNITY Cash and Business Reimbursement
Participating businesses should treat CommUNITY Cash certificates, like cash. Certificates need to be used in their entirety at ONE location, no change is returned and no balances can remain on the certificate. Instructions and a sample certificate will be provided to each participating business.
Certificates are redeemable from June 1- June 30, 2020, and should not be accepted after that deadline. Participating businesses will then submit redeemed CommUNITY Cash certificates to the Marion Chamber of Commerce for reimbursement from July 1 - July 31, 2020. All certificates for each business MUST be turned in at the same time and will be paid out in one lump sum. The Marion Chamber of Commerce will cut only ONE check per business.
